Number of Years of Experience: 10 years' experience Minimum Educational Qualification : Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering Job Description: Plan, organize and Maintain transmission line cable assets by ensuring asset quality through creating and updating database for the same, with the objectives to efficiently track equipment condition, performance, preparing refurbishment plans, procuring spares etc. for the optimum utilization of assets and to enhance the system reliability & cost effectiveness. Maintain the transmission cables abnormality database in order to get up to date information regarding the availability of equipment, conditions, performance, failures with cause analysis and corrective & preventive action etc. in line with the department's strategic objective. Coordinate with other departments in commissioning of new cable circuits in transmission network, in order to enable a smooth and fast handing over of equipment to the respective maintenance group after the commissioning of the cable circuits. Create & update databases for tracking NODs/abnormalities, as built/marked up, test reports, O&M manuals and snags related to transmission cables. Develop / review quality procedures and method statements in order to make it abreast of the latest management policies, best utility / engineering practices, reliable & cost effective. Coordinate procurement of capital spares for cables in order to improve the quality and reliability of the system and assist for management of contract spares as per established policy. Review of annual plan for maintenance of transmission cables and coordinate with other sections & departments to incorporate in the outage schedule so as to accomplish the task with the minimum duration of outage and resources, in compliance with the departmental procedures and RCM recommendations. Yearly review of RCM analysis and produce comprehensive report as per recommendations. Coordinate Circuit shutdown with other parties for Diversion, Lowering & Relocation of 132 kV Power and Pilot Cables and follow up the progress of site activities as per the agreed program. Review technical documents related to existing asset or new projects, prepare comments, and submit to concerned department and follow-up results, decisions and recommendations. 1. Knowledge in Design, manufacturing, Quality control, Testing and maintenance of different types of transmission cables 2. Familiar with international standards / best utility practices related to transmission cables 3. Knowledge on safety practices, knowledge in MS Office applications, good skill in preparing technical reports, making presentation etc.
